BAD UK Coronavirus Update: 18th March 2020

We feel it is important that we address the questions being raised by many of you about Coronavirus and Bile Acid Diarrhoea.

There is no research evidence to suggest that people with Bile Acid Diarrhoea are 'high risk' from catching Coronavirus.
The British Society of Gastroenterology has now produced research that states that those who are taking medication for Bile Acid Diarrhoea are LOW RISK of catching COVID19.
You can view this research via the following link:

Please be aware that if you have other conditions, you may be at risk due to having those conditions - please refer to the Government guidance to clarify.
If you feel you are at risk, you need to follow the official Government & NHS guidance on what to do if you become symptomatic or meet the criteria for “at risk” requiring you to follow social distancing guidelines. You can find the social distancing guidelines here: https://www.gov.uk/…/guidance-on-social-distancing-for-ever

There are many information posts on social media, some of which may be scaremongering, inaccurate or someone’s personal view of the situation. We encourage you to NOT listen to unregulated websites and social media post, and to strictly follow what the Government & NHS advises. If you are outside of the UK then please refer to the advice provided within your own Country or the World Health Organisation (WHO).

You can find the official Government information here:
